Most drivers look at their earnings in the app and think they know what they made. They don’t. What the app shows you and what you actually kept are two completely different numbers. GigNova exists to close that gap — and once you see the real number, you can never unsee it.
These platforms run on supply and demand. Every time a driver accepts a low-paying order, they’re telling the algorithm that order was worth it. The platform has no reason to pay more. But when drivers consistently decline bad orders, the math changes. The platform has to respond. Not always immediately. Not perfectly. That knowledge didn’t come from one place. It came from talking to other drivers, group chats, community pages, and pattern recognition over weeks and months across multiple platforms. The problem is most drivers never get access to that network. They’re out there guessing.
That’s why GigNova exists. Not tips and tricks. Not get rich quick. Just the real information — the patterns, the math, the tools, and the decisions — that help gig delivery workers make smarter choices on every single shift.

How we work
- We show the arithmetic. The calculator breaks out gallons used, cents per mile and the rate it applied, so you can redo it on paper and get the same answer. The guides do the same with their numbers.
- We say when a link pays us. The gear guides contain Amazon affiliate links. The disclosure is in the footer of every page and again in each guide that has one.
- We don’t use the IRS rate as if it were your cost. Roughly a third of the 72.5¢ figure is insurance and registration you pay whether or not you take an order, so it can’t help you decide. We separate the costs that move with the miles from the ones that don’t.
- We correct things. Rates, prices and platform rules change. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us at hello@gignova.net and we will fix it.
